Manchester City are reportedly ready to listen to offers to allow Sergio Aguero a transfer away from the club after a bad start to life under Pep Guardiola.
The Argentine international hasn’t had his best season in a City shirt, and it is thought that his place is now under threat from the arrival of Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Jesus up front.
City signed the £27million striker in the summer, but have only just brought him in to their squad for the second half of the season.
This looks like being bad news for Aguero, who hasn’t won over new manager Guardiola this season despite a strong return of goals as usual.
The 28-year-old’s style isn’t completely compatible with how Guardiola likes his teams to play, and Yahoo Sport now claim City will consider letting him go.
Guardiola has already left Aguero out of some big names this term, most notably as his side were beaten 4-0 by Barcelona in the Champions League.
Aguero’s fitness has also been a concern after a few niggling injuries in recent seasons, though he surely won’t be short of suitors if he does head for the Etihad Stadium exit door.
