Louis van Gaal has backtracked on his plans to retire and instead is planning on just taking a sabbatical.
The former Manchester United manager announced his retirement from football management on Monday, citing ‘family reasons’ for his decision.
However, the 65-year-old, who was replaced by Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford after winning the FA Cup, has seemingly changed his mind overnight and instead has decided to take a short break from the game.
He told El Larguero: ‘I have not retired.
‘I’ve only taken a sabbatical year and then I’ll decide.
‘It depends on the offers.’
